When a salesperson is introduced to management and recruited into EXIT, each transaction that they close generates a bonus that's equivalent to 10% of the gross commissions earned by the recruit, payable to the individual who sponsored them into the company. The bonus is paid via EXIT's head office, and not subtracted from the new recruit's commissions. Minnesota Real Estate licensing requirements:

Applicant Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age
  • You do not need a high school diploma or equivalent
  • You need not be a Minnesota resident Real Estate Education Sales Associate pre-licensing course of instruction consisting of 90 hours ( three 30 hour classes) and pass an examination after completing Course 1. Courses consist of information on Minnesota real estate law, principles and practices of real estate, real estate math, contracts, and more. Applicant must then schedule exam with approved testing center. Apply for Licensure Application for your state license, your signature, application fee, and your broker's signature. You must submit completed application to the Minnesota Department of Commerce, including Exam results, and completion certificates for all three courses. The exam is divided into two parts, a National exam, and a State exam. The state examination consists of 45 multiple choice questions with a 1 hour time limit. The national examination consists of 85 multiple choice questions with a 2 hour time limit. A grade of 75 is required to pass on each portion of the exams. Maintaining License To maintain your license you will need to successfully complete an additional 30 hours of education by the first renewal period. There is no grace period beyond expiration of the license! We strongly recommend you complete this course as soon as possible after receiving your initial license. Subsequent license renewals (those following the initial license period) require completion of 15 hours of continuing education each year, which can also be completed through live classroom attendance or distance learning; no examination is required. Out-of-state Sales Associates requesting a Minnesota license The state of Minnesota has entered into mutual recognition agreements with Colorado, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. Sales associates must hold active license in one of these states and submit Letter of Licensure from their state with application.

    Applicants with active Wisconsin license:  Attach a Course Completion Certificate documenting completion of a Minnesota salesperson course of at least 13 hours as well as passing results for the Minnesota State Laws portion of the exam. 

    Applicants with active CO, IA, NE, ND, OK or SD license:  no additional education or examination required.

    Out-of-state Associates, no mutual recognition agreement with Minnesota

    Applicants must complete all licensing requirements as far as course work, only need take the State Laws portion of the exam, and submit Letter of Licensure from state in which a current active license is held.
